House. Late C17 or early C18. Red and blue brick and plain tiled roof. One
storey and attic on plinth with gambrel roof, with projecting half-hipped wing to
end left. Stacks to centre right and end right. Three flat roofed dormers with
leaded wooden casements, and 3 leaded casements to ground floor. Boarded door
with raking hood to centre left, and blocked doorway to centre right in lobby-
entry position. The cross-wing to left with boarded doors on each floor, and with
carved stone panels on first floor, a man to left, an urn and woman to right. The
figures (crudely carved and known locally as Adam and Eve and the Soup Tureen)
were added by Thomas Apps, who had a lime store and builders yard here.
