House and cottage in one range, sometime stables serving the Tickencote Hall built
1705 and demolished 1949, but apparently incorporating an earlier Hall, C16 or C17
in origin. Rainwater head dated 1705. Of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, and
Collyweston stone slate roof, hipped to east. Stone ridge stacks with twin shafts.
L-plan, with 2 low ranges to rear. Main part of 2 storeys. North (entrance) front
has archway into through passage, with cottage of 2 bays to east (with entrance in
east end) and house to west, of 3 bays, then door at 1st floor level reached by
steps flanking projecting wing with coped gable, one bay deep. 3-light casement
windows with ovolo mullionsand hood moulds.
