Two houses, formerly 3 dwellings. Probably with core of late C16 to C17. Rendered
over partial timber frame with thatched roof. Tall 2 storeys formerly consisting
of 2 single unit and 1 2-unit cottages. No.12 has 3-light wood mullioned and
transomed casement and doorway beneath common lintel to right, and additional
door and 3-light casement to left. 2 upper 2-light casement windows, 1 with
tiny panes, slightly lower than No. 14 which has doorway to right with a canted
ashlar bay window of 3-light ovolo moulded mullions, 2-light casement windows
to left. Paired 2-light casements above with common lintel, 1 with tiny panes.
Brick in gable wall of No. 12 and date stone of 1856 with initials IHD, presumably
recording alterations. 1 angle post partially visible in No. 14. Inside, No.14
has ironstone to ground floor, close studded timber work above with one pair
of finely carved principal posts, with crown motif at cap. Timber framing
in gable wall of No.12 also.
