Terrace of 4 houses, grouped as 2 pairs. Late C19th. Ashlar; slate roofs.
3 storeys and basement. 1 window and door per house but blocked window on
upper floors shared between 2 houses gives appearance of 2 pairs. Glazing bar
sash windows; cill bands, ramped at junction between pairs. Paired 6-panel
door under flat stone hood on brackets (No. 26 has modern door). To front of
each house are ashlar garden walls 2 to 3 feet high and capped gatepiers; the
front walls to the road are joined to the houses by ashlar dividing walls 4-5
feet high. Formerly Nos 1 to 4 Chapel Row.
