TL 15NW COLMWORTH CHURCH END, CHURCH ROAD

5/10 Manor Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. 1609, by Edmund Ibbot for Catherine Dyer (inscription on beam), on
site of earlier manor house. Colour washed brick and rough cast over timber
frame. Old clay tile roof. T-plan, 2 storeys, with later single storey brick
additions projecting from S wing. NE elevation: brick ground floor, rough
cast first floor. Ground floor has 2 sashes and one pair 2-light casements,
all under cambered relieving arches. First floor has 2 leaded 2-light
casements, one 2-light horizontal sash with glazing bars. C20 front door in
round-headed opening. Substantial projecting chimney breast to L. Decorative
moulded frieze set into plinth to R of door. House stands on moated site.
