C17 row of houses built as parish workhouse and overseers' house. Arranged as
terrace of four and then lower pair slightly offset. This latter pair now
converted to a single dwelling. Coursed limestone rubble with some remains of
old lime render. Old clay tile roofs. Two storeys. Gable end to road. Some
C20 casements to rear (W.) elevation. E. elevation altered C19 and C20 with
new windows and lean-to single storey extensions. No. 5 has four first floor
leaded casements. Ground floor casements with glazing bars. Included for
group value.
