TL 05NW THURLEIGH OLD MILTON ROAD

3/203 Romp Hall

Large farmhouse. C17 and C18. Timber framed, on brick and stone plinth,
mainly rough cast and colour washed, but with timbering exposed and colour
washed brick infill to NE gable end. Old clay tile roof. L-plan, main block
of one storey and attics, cross-wing of 2 storeys (probably of later date).
NW elevation (including cross-wing gable end): ground floor has 2 3-light
horizontal sashes and 2 casements. attic has 2 gabled dormers with 2-light
horizontal sashes, first floor has one sash and one 2-light horizontal sash,
all with glazing bars. C20 porch is in line with red brick ridge stack
serving back-to-back hearth.
