House. C17 with C18 and C19 reworkings. Colourwashed roughcast render
covering substantial timber framing. Clay tile roofs. C17 block is 2
storeyed, of 3-room plan. C18 addition projects from W part of rear, with C20
additions projecting from E part of rear, forming U-plan building. S
elevation: both floors have 3 sash windows with glazing bars. First floor
ones are later, of broader proportions with larger panes. C19 doorway between
2 RH bays. 6-panel door within moulded surround, sheltered by flat headed
open porch on square-timber piers. Above doorway is small 2-light casement.
Doorway is in line with back-to-back hearth, forming lobby entrance. Both
ridge stack and LH gable end stack are of red brick with linked diagonally set
shafts. Rear and side elevations: variety of casement windows with glazing
bars, mostly C20. Ground floor of NW wing rebuilt in brick, also
colourwashed.
