Woodhall Farmhouse
II
House. C16 with C19 reworkings. Timber framed construction with colourwashed
roughcast render, ground floor encased and rebuilt in colourwashed brick.
Clay tile roofs. 2-storeyed T-plan building. C19 2 and 3-light casements
throughout, except for C20 bow window to SW gable end. Gabled colourwashed
brick porch with oak plank door to SE elevation. Multiple ridge stack to
cross-wing, 2 external chimney stacks, one very substantial, to NW elevation
of main block. Top part of all 3 rebuilt in C19 yellow brick, lower parts of
external ones rendered. Single-storeyed lean-to addition to NW. Interior:
cross-wing ground floor has moulded beams, the moulding suggesting a first

with foliate carving and coat of arms, apparently imported from elsewhere.
Flanking one of these some panelled dado, again imported. C18 staircase with
paired turned balusters.
