Former Infants School, known as Clifton Fields School, now converted to
domestic accommodation. Circa 1870. Red brick with polychrome brick
patterning. Clay tile roof with decorative ridge cresting. Rectangular hall
with apse to S gable end. The N (road) gable has central gabled porch with
pointed arched doorway, with a large trefoiled circular window at attic level.
Band of diaper-patterning below eaves level, polychrome surrounds to openings,
moulded brick modillions to gables. Apse and E elevation have pointed-arched
windows. Brick chimney stack with moulded cornice to W elevation. Gabled
bell turret to ridge, also with polychrome patterning. Interior retains
hammer-beam roof.
