House. C16. Colourwashed roughcast over timber frame, ground floor rebuilt
C19 in red brick. Clay tile roof. H-plan, 2 storeys. RH cross-wing lower
than other blocks. LH cross-wing has 4-light casement with glazing bars to
ground floor, 3-light casement to first floor. RH cross-wing has 3-light
casement to ground floor, 2-light casement to first floor. Central block has
substantial external chimney stack in 3 stages, lowest stage of coursed
ironstone rubble, remainder in red brick with tumbled-in brickwork and a pair
of diagonal shafts. To L of this is ground floor lean-to addition with C20
door, surmounted by 2 2-light casements to first floor. Most windows are C20.
Red brick integral stack to LH wall of RH cross-wing. Multiple ridge stack to
LH cross-wing, partly of original brick, partly rebuilt in yellow brick, with
moulded octagonal shafts.
