L-shaped to cross roads. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof,
½ hipped to Stebbing Road, gable crosswing with moulded bargeboards to right.
2 storeys. Window ranges 3:3 first floor 3:2 ground floor of various small
paned casements and sliding sashes. C20 plank and muntin door with flat canopy
and brackets to Stebbing Road. C20 board door to Dunmow Road. Red brick
chimney stacks. Recorded as a Public House 1766 and 1858. RCHM 41
