Early C17 timber-framed and plastered house with a later addition on the west
and further C18-C19 additions on the south in weather-boarding with a pantiled
roof and a gabled dormer. The main block is 2 storeys. The upper storey is
jettied on the front on curved brackets. Two window range of double-hung sashes
with glazing bars. Roof tiled, with an original central chimney stack with
cruciform shafts set diagonally on a square base. Oringally a moated house
but only traces of the moat remain. (RCHM 5).
