House, now 3 dwellings. C16 or earlier with later extension to left and C20
right extension in course of erection at time of re-survey. Timber framed and
plastered. Thatched roofs, red pantiles to C20 extension. One storey and
attics. The original house with gabled crosswing to right has a single storey
extension and C20 porch to left. 2 red brick chimneys, one external left, the
other to left of the gabled wing, this probably with back to back fireplaces.
Gabled dormer to left of this chimney stack and a later angled oriel to side of
the external stack. 2:1 various windows with 2 windows to C20 right extension.
C20 door to No. 35, 2 panel 2 light door to No. 37, this with Eagle Insurance
plaque over, C20 door to No. 39. The interior of the central dwelling No. 37
has a heavy timber frame with halved bracing. Inserted ceiling. Original
stairs around chimney. Fire surround with smoke board and shelf over. The
gabled crosswing with heavy bridging and ceiling joists, restored inglenook
fireplace backing onto that in No. 37. No entry to No. 35 at time of re-survey,
but it appears to be a C17/C18 extension.
