Aisled barn, C16. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with handmade red clay
tiles. 4 bays aligned approx. N-S, 2 aisles, large double doors on both sides
in second bay from S. Hipped at both ends. Jowled posts, cambered tiebeams,
arched braces to tiebeams and arcade plates, edge-halved and bridled scarfs in
arcade plates and wallplates. Primary straight bracing in walls. Clasped
purlin roof. There have been phases of rebuilding at various periods. The
posts and main components are medieval in origin, but the structure is
essentially C16, with some later rebuilding of walls and roof.
