House. Circa 1600, timber framed and part brick clad, all now plastered. C20
red plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Originally L shaped plan, now with C20 gabled
extension to centre front and on north side. Original red brick cruciform
chimney stack. Assorted C20 casements. Internally the original high quality
frame remains, with stop chamfered bridging joists and common joists. Underside
of first floor has extensive circa 1600 painted decoration, in panels with
linear motifs on the joists. (RCHM 5).
