Cottages, formerly late C15 small open hall house, extensively altered C18 and
C19. Originally timber framed and plastered now clad in flint with red brick
dressings. Grey slate roof. 1 storey and attics. 3 window range C20 casements
in C19 openings. Gabled dormer. C19 extension at rear. Red brick chimney
stacks. Internally much of the original frame survives, with jowled storey
posts, arch braced and cambered tiebeams and stop chamfered beams. Re-roofed
above top plates in early C19. Late C16 central chimney stack, partly rebuilt
at top in C19. Centre bay has C16 inserted floor. C19 decorative iron pump
at rear.
