Railway Station. Built 1844, timber framed and plastered, part brick and stone,
with grey slate hipped roof. 1 storey. Curved portico on road front, with
round headed windows with marginal lights. Platform front divided into 5 bays
by short chamfered edge piers with right angle brackets and fretted platform
canopy. Western bay has 2 vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars, and
moulded flush wood architraves. Centre 3 bays have round headed double doors
with 2 fielded panels at bottom. 2 lights above glazed in margins, moulded
flush wood architraves. Eastern bay square headed door of 2 fielded panels,
part glazed with side lights.
