House. C15 or earlier origin with later alterations and additions. Timber framed.
Red brick faced. Hipped red plain roof with gables off centre left and far right.
Left and rear centre red brick chimney stacks each of 2 octagonal shafts with moulded
bases and capping and a similar shaft. Also a single octagonal stack at rear.
Square attached shaft to right. 2 storeys. 5 window range of small paned vertically
sliding sashes. Central recessed board door, reeded surround and frieze with patera,
flat canopy over. Right panelled door with small paned sidelights, flat canopy over.
To right is a single storey extension of similar materials, with central board door
and 2 small paned casements. Interior reputed to contain heavy exposed timber framing
stop chamfered bridging joists, original service doorway and C17 panelling. The
front garden is enclosed by C19/C20 cast iron railings with palmette finials to rails
and acorn finials to posts. No access at time of resurvey. RCHM 2.
