Late C17 or early C18 house in red brick, with red plain tile roof. Two storeys
and attics. The original house has 5 window range double hung vertical sliding
sashes with glazing bars, in stone surrounds mounted on brackets. Two gables with
semi-circular windows. Early C19 extensions at east and west ends, in red brick
with sash windows to match original. East end has been extensively modernised.
The north front has been extensively altered in early C20. At west end is a C19
single storey kitchen wing, in red brick with red plain tile roof and double hung
vertical sliding sash windows. Internally there is original detailing, including
fire surrounds, shutters, architraves, doors and also a fine early C19 geometric
staircase with slender cast iron foliated balusters and wreathed handrail.
