Mid C19. 3 storeys. 5 window bays. Moulded eaves cornice. Stringcourses.
1st and 2nd floors of finely jointed ashlar with long and short quoins;
cornice to ground floor which is rusticated. On ground floor from left
to right hand end, 3 windows; segmental headed doorway with moulded head
and keystone, entablature, fanlight, pilasters and 6-fielded panelled
door in frame; another doorway in 4th bay; window in 5th bay. An extra
bay built on to right hand end of building has house door to the Bank House;
segmental headed doorway with moulded head, plain keystone, panelled spandrels
and rusticated pilasters; 4-panelled double doors and segmental fanlight.
In C19, this was the Wilts and Dorset Bank which established a Branch in
Sherborne in 1835 and merged with Lloyds in 1914.

Nos 73 to 85 (odd) form a group.
