House, C17 or earlier. Whitewashed rubble and brick, thatched with gable ends.
End brick stacks and stack to left of doorway. Single storey and attic, 4 window range. The ground floor has 2 3-light casements with glazing bars flanking a 6-panel door the upper 2 panels of which form integral lights. To the left is a blocked doorway with a small inserted casement. The upper floor has a jettied gable on wooden brackets under which is a 4-light casement with horizontal glazing bars. 2 other upper floor windows are 3-light casements under eyebrow dormers with surrounds of boards. The general form of the building suggests it may have originated as an open hall. "'RCHM, Dorset Vol III", HMSO, 1970, p 284, no 60.
