House C16 or earlier origin, rebuilt 1728. Coursed squared rubble
with thatched roof, hipped left and gabled right. Brick stack to
left of door. 2 storeys, 3 window range. 2 and 3-light casements,
that to the upper floor central having leaded-lights. Part-glazed
panelled door with flat hood. Datestone reads 'CWM 1728'. Internal
features (RCHM): open fireplace with cambered timber bressummer and
chamfered jambs; 2-centred head niche; plank and muntin partition;
deep chamfered ceiling beam. The roof is said to contain remains of
smoke blackened trusses suggesting the building originated as an
open hall. Later extension to the left.
