Originally Congregational 1866-7 almost certainly by Kemp-Welch and Pinder.
Sizeable church of Gothic outline, but mixed Romanesque and Cinquecento detail

skyline at ritual north-west (actual south-west); round-arched doorway, 2 light
Cinquecento window, then group of 3 portholes with 'quasi-tiled' roof of stone
to cornice, then recessed belfry stage with triplet round-arched windows under
clock; splayed pyramid spire of patterned 2-tone slates, with weathervane finial.
Ritual west front with double arched entrance in low gabled porch; pink stone
colonnettes foliage capitals vermiculated keystones. 4-light round-arched window
over, with tracery of roundels (1 cusped); Lombard frieze to gable, 2 storey side
elevations, lower windows with shouldered flat-arched lights under segmental
relieving arch and foliage tympanum, upper windows 2-light Cinquecento under cross gables. Roof of patterned two-tone slates. Similar elevation and roof to Sunday Schools and recessed western wing of church. Ornamental iron railing to street boundary of recessed west wing of church.

The United Reform Church with its attached Sunday Schools and graveyards on
