GV II
House. Mid-C18 with later alterations. Coursed squared limestone, with gritstone
dressings. Plain tile roofs and stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Two
brick ridge stacks and two gable end stacks. Two and three storeys. South
elevation, left to right. Angle quoins. 2-light square section flush mullion
window with small paned casements and similar window above. To the right,
doorway with flush stone surround linking it to flanking windows on each side
with casements. Dripmould over the doorway. Half-glazed door. 2-light square
section flush mullion window above and to the right. On the second floor between
the two windows below, a Venetian window with flush stone surround. Former angle
quoins to the right mark the extent of the earliest part of the facade. To the
right, a 2-light square section flush mullion window with small paned casements.
Similar window above and similar, but smaller, window above again. One 4-light
mullion window added in the early C20. Staircase projection of the north side
with date 1776 inscribed. Rubblestone garden wall enclosing front garden.
