House. 1649 with C19 and C20 alterations. Coursed rubble sandstone with ashlar
dressings and quoins. Plain tile roof with central brick ridge stack and stone
coped gables. To top of western gable a square stone sundial with faces on 2
sides and ball finial over fenestration. Inserted off-centre doorcase with C20
1/2 glazed door flanked by 2 C20 glazing bar casements below C19 plain lintels
to east and 2 similar windows to west, that to right of 3-lights and that to
far west with re-used lintel inscribed '1649 RS'. Above a single light recessed
and chamfered window to centre flanked by C20 2 light casements with plain lintels.
Gable wall has C17 recessed and chamfered 2-light mullion window with dripmould
to first floor and similar single light window to garret. Interior with chamfered
ceiling beams.
