Row of three cottages. Late C18 and mid C19 with later alterations. Coursed
squared sandstone with gritstone dressings. Plain tile roofs with stone ridges.
Stone coped gables, to either end, with moulded kneelers. Brick gable end
stacks, that to south C19 with twin chamfered pots. Two brick ridge stacks, that
to south similar to southernmost one. Two storeys. Two bays per cottage. No 28
to south, C19, in C18 style. Central flush doorcase with C20 door. 2-light
mullion window to south, canted bay window to north with 2-light window to front.
Above, two 2-light flush mullion windows. No 27 has flush doorcase to south
with C19 glazed and panelled door. Two 2-light flush mullion windows to north with
stone benches beneath. Above, two similar windows. Beyond, to north, No 26 with
flush doorcase. C20 door. To north, 2-light flush mullion window and single light
window in former flush doorcase. To south, C20 window in C18 opening. Above, two
2-light flush mullion windows. All windows two pane casements, apart from single
pane casements in No 28. To extreme north, attached single storey barn with door.
