Farmhouse. 1699, refronted and extended 1853. Coursed, squared, tooled sandstone
with gritstone dressings and quoins. Part stone slate and part plain tile roof.
C19 stone copings with moulded kneelers to gable ends and original north gable.
Three rendered stacks, one each to either end of stone slate roof and one between.
Two storeys, three bays, northern one probably of 1853. Three C19 3-light
recessed and chamfered mullion windows to ground floor. Above, three similar
2-light windows. Between southern windows a stone plaque inscribed 'WHS 1699'
and in later incised oval: 'READ 1853'. Included for group value only.
