House. Circa 1830-35 with C20 addition. Stuccoed probably over slate
rubble. Slate hipped roof with deep eaves and moulded cast-iron gutters
with lion marks to joists. Pairs of octagonal shafts to side stacks, the
right hand with turned red clay pots, the left hand with louvred yellow clay
pots.
Plan: Double depth plan with 2 principal front rooms, central entrance and
stair hall and with service rooms at the back. In mid or late C20 a 2-
storey 1-bay extension was added to the left hand (west) side.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay south front. Right hand and left
hand bays break forward with rusticated quoins and centre of the bays break
forward again with canted bays on the ground floor. First floor to left and
right C19 16-pane sashes and large C20 sash in centre recess all with
louvred shutters. Ground floor flanking canted stuccoed bays with slate
hipped roofs, moulded cast iron gutters and C19 French casements with
glazing bars. In central recess a round-headed doorway with C19 moulded and
panelled door and semi-circular fanlight enclosed in C20 flat roof porch.
To left (west) a C20 2-storey, 1-bay extension with canted front and flat
roof.
The rear elevation is roughly rendered and has C19 sashes with glazing bars
and central doorway.
Interior: Not accessible at time of survey 1988-9 nut probably retains C19
joinery such as staircase and doors etc. and plasterwork and chimneypiece
might survive.
