Farmhouse. Circa early C16. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Asbestos slate
roof north half hipped and gabled ends. L-shaped plan. Two storeys. Four window
range. Mainly C19 casements with timber lintels. Left hand ground floor granite
2-light chamfered window frame with hoodmould. Similar 3-light window on south side
and in wing. To right of centre moulded granite 4-centred arch doorway to cross
passage with carved quatrefoil spandrels and hoodmould with carved steps. To left of
centre external stone chimneystack on front. Truncated gabled wing to left
(north-east). Single storey gabled wing at centre. Gabled stair wing on south side.
Interior: moulded plaster overmantel in ground floor east room depicting the Sacrifice
of Isaac, with Relief figures. Fireplace below is blocked. Moulded granite
chimneypiece to blocked fireplace on north side of former hall. C17 dogleg staircase
in north-east wing with thick turned balusters, chamfered newels and a closed string.
First floor 2 moulded wooden doorframes with carved steps.
