Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. Probably C16 origins, remodelled late C18 to later
exterior to rear. Whitewashed shale and cob with gable-ended slate roof. Earlier
fabric of single pile 2-storey house with 2 right-angled extensions to rear forming
irregular 3-sided courtyard plan. South facade has small sash to left gable end
and large stone stack to right. 3 window range of timber sashes with glazing bars
6 panes per sash to each side of 6-paned casement above doorway with 2-light timber
casement, 6 panes each, to right and a blocked window opening and inserted C20
metal casement to left. On the east side is a large stack with tripartite sash
window to left and timber sash to right, 8 panes per sash, with casement above.
Brief interior inspection suggested interesting roof structure with curved
principals possibly crucks.
