Cottage. Mid C17. Plastered cob on rubble footings; stone rubble stacks topped
with C20 brick; felt roof (formerly thatch).
Originally a 1-room and entrance lobby plan house facing south-east with rear
lateral stack to larger right (north-eastern) room. Entrance now through C20 porch
on right end and entrance lobby room has inserted C20 end stack. 2 storeys. 2-
window front of C20 casements with glazing bars. The 1-ground floor window blocks
original front doorway. Roof is half-hipped each end. C20 porch on right has a
round-headed window in gable end with unusual pattern of glazing bars.
Interior: the main room has C17 axial beam, soffit-chamfered with scroll stops.
The same finish is given to oak lintel of rubble fireplace. Original winder stairs
to left of fireplace. Roof not inspected.
