Public house. C19 re-working of an earlier building. Roughcast cob; gable end
slate roof. Original plan obscured by removal of partitions in the construction of
a single large ground-floor bar. Former stable block (with end stack) divided from
main range by carriage entrances. Main range with end stacks. Brick shafts
throughout. 2 storeys.
Exterior Front: 3 window range; first floor: 4-light casement widnows, possibly in
pre-C19 embrasures, now with external shutters. 3 C20 ground floor windows, and a
door with depressed panels. Rear: outshut under catslide. The Wyndham Arms
occupies an important site facing the square and adjacent to the parish churchyard.
