church of St Constantine

3 headstones. Late C18. Slate. The south headstone, commemorating William Mason
buried 1779 is nowy-headed with scrolly corners. A border of mouchettes carved in
relief flanks the inscription and verse, pot of flowers carved in the head. The
north headstone, commemorating Elizabeth Mason, buried 1765 and Thomas Mason, buried
1774 has a guilloche border, verse below inscription, and a curved shaped head carved
by a scallop shell flanked by cherubim. Back to back with this headstone is one
commemorating Thomas Mason of Higher Longbrook, died 1783: nowy-headed with a winged
angel and flowers carved in the head and a verse below the inscription.
