9/97 Pair of Blatchford headstones
approximately 10 metres south of
Chancel of church of St Peter

Pair of headstones. 1777 to father and son both named Oliver Blatchford, son died
aged 6 months. Slate with nowy heads. Headstone to Oliver the Elder has carved in
its head a recumbent figure with winged angel's head either side and "REMEMBER
DEATH" inscribed above. Headstone to Oliver the Younger has simple winged angel's
head carved in top.
