Pair of cottages circa late C17 or early C18, possibly slightly differing dates.
Rendered and plastered cob walls. Gable ended roofs, slate to No. 4, corrugated
asbestos, probably over thatch, to No. 5. Brick stack at outer gable end of each.
Plan: 1-room plan to No. 4, to right, 2-room plan to No. 5 with right-hand room
heated.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Each has 2-window front. No. 4 to left has 3-light circa
late C19 casement to left and two 2-light C20 casements above. C20 part glazed door
to right. No. 5 to right has early C20 casements, 2-light to left 3-light to right
with C19 plank door at centre.
Interior not inspected but may contain features such as open fireplaces and ceiling
beams.
