GV II
Pair of cottages. Early C17 possibly with earlier origins. Rendered cob walls.
Gable ended thatch roof. C20 rebuilt axial brick stack offset from ridge and
projecting rubble stack at left gable end with brick shaft.
Plan: originally probably 3-room-and-through-passage plan, lower end to the left.

cottages at lower end of the hall and front passage door blocked. Rear wing added
behind right-hand end probably in C18.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front, windows to ground floor. Over
the left-hand side of the house the thatch roof extends in a pentice supported on
brackets. C20 1, 2 and 3-light small-paned casements. No. 1 has C20 plank door to
left of centre. Entrance into No. 2 is though a door in C20 leanto at right-hand

Interior inaccessible at time of survey but likely to contain early features such as
open fireplaces, ceiling beams and possible medieval or C17 roof trusses.
