18/226 Pair of adjacent Beere headstones
- approximately 3 metres south-west
of chancel of the Church of St
Giles

GV II

Pair of adjacent headstones. Early C18. Granite. The 2 headstones have similar
shaped heads which are carved with winged cherubs heads and the inscriptions are in
Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. The western headstone stands
approximately 650 millimetres high and it records the death of Stefanie Beere in
1707. The eastern one stands approximately 300 millimetres and records the death of
William Beere but the date of his death is buried.
