GV. II
Farmhouse. Late C17; early C18 bay added to right; shippon to
left, remodelled in mid C19 and C20 as dwelling, to left. Coursed
slatestone rubble with colourwashed render over cob first floor;
gabled slate roof, with artificial slates to rear; rendered stone
ridge and end stacks. 2-unit plan extended to 3-unit plan with
through-passage (blocked to rear) to right of central hall. 2
storeys; 5-window range. Gabled mid C19 porch with round-arched
outer doorway and C20 inner door. Flat rendered arches over C20
two to 4-light casements. Early/mid C19 dairy outshut to rear.
Shippon to left remodelled as 2-storey dwelling. Interior:
chamfered bressummers over three ground-floor open fireplaces.
Room to left has stop-chamfered beam and plank door set in beaded
frame to dairy with stone-flag floor in rear outshut. Central
room has plank door set in similar architrave. Roof has A-frame
trusses with pegged collars.
