Villa. c1830-60. Stucco over brick with hipped slate roof,
brick end stacks and iron porch, balconies and railings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, 3 first-floor windows. Stucco
detailing includes quoins, moulded first-floor band,
ground-floor windows have wide cornices, first-floor windows
have tooled architraves and blind boxes. First floor has 6/6
sashes, ground floor has 1/1 sashes; windows have shutter
boxes. casements to basement. Flight of roll-edged steps to
central entrance a 4-panel door (the upper panels raised and
fielded, the lower panels flush) with overlight.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: porch has ornate anthemion and scroll
motif to stanchions and frieze, dentil cornice; Carron Company
double-heart-and-anthemion motif to individual ground-floor
balconies; railings to sides of steps have ornate balusters
and wreathed handrail.
