House. C16/17 timber frame, recased and altered late C18/early
C19. Stuccoed. Plain tile roof, hipped on right corner return,
brick chimney stack at right of centre. 2 storeys and attic, 4
bays. 5-panel door at centre in panelled reveal, flanked by
reeded pilasters, cornice on 2 shaped brackets runs over C19
shallow bow window on right of 36 panes. On left 2 16-pane
sashes with rendered keystones. 4 similar sashes on first
floor. 2 hipped dormers. On left C20 2-storey garage
extension. Right return, onto Peacock Lane, has 16-pane sash
on ground and first floors.
INTERIOR has remains of timber framing with wall posts and
ceiling beams. No.5 Peacock Lane (qv) is together with No.3
Penny Street part of one original house.
