House. Late C17/early C18. Brick in an irregular English garden wall bond,
timber eaves cornice, tiled roofs. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys, 5 bays,
2:1:2; the rear wing has a central 2-storey porch with side entry. C20
timber porch to central door of 4 panels flanked to right and to left by 2
cross-mullion windows with sills under flat gauged brick arches. First-
floor band. First floor: a limestone sundial, less its gnomon, over the
door, beneath a blank opening flanked by 2 cross-mullion windows with sills
under flat gauged brick arches. Bracketed eaves, raised coped gables, end
stacks. Interior: a fine closed string stair with vase balusters carrying
heavy moulded hand-rail. A number of early C18 bolection-moulded doors
survive to the principal rooms.
