C17 timber framed buildings with high pitched tiled roofs. Wood eaves
cornice except for No 152, which is narrow building of 2 storeys, one window,
squeezed between its neighbours. It has plastered 1st floor with 2-light casement
window in near-flush, moulded frame; and brick ground floor with sash window
with glazing bars in near-flush box frame. Door of 2 flat and 2 fielded
panels in box frame.
No 154: 2 storeys, 2 windows.
No 156: 2 storeys, one window 1st floor, 2 windows ground floor.
No 158: 2 storeys, one window.
All have traces of jettiod fronts but have since been built out on ground
floor. Rough cast 1st floor, smooth rendered ground floor and plinth.
2-light casement windows, some with glazing bars, in flush, moulded
frames, on 1st floor. Ground-floor windows (except for No 158, which has
a sash window) are 2-light casements in flush, box frames. 2 steps to
doors under cornice hoods.
Nos 142 to 174 (even) form a group.
