Secular-belfry built 1403-1412. 4 stages. Flint walls with freestone
dressings and stone battlemented. parapet over cornice with gargoyles at
angles. Stone quoins of alternative blocks. Each stage slightly narrower
than the one beneath, and marked by a stone string. Ground floor wide
window under 4-centred, treble-chamfered arch. 2nd stage has 2 cusped,
pointed windows under square heads, one above the other. 3rd stage has
clock; and top stage has 2-light cusped ogee window with trefoils in
spandrels, under square hood mould.
