The former Dower House of Gorhambury sometimes known as "New House".
Circa 1700. 2 storeys and attic, 5 windows. High pitched, hipped, tiled
roof with end chimneys. Modillion cornice (renewed) with small central
pediment. 3 square dormers. Red brick with diaper pattern of blue headers.
Brick plinth. Gauged red brick arches to ground floor windows. All windows
renewed sashes with glazing bars, those on 1st floor in original, near-flush
box frames. 2-storey, 3-window extension at left in similar style. Late C18
central doorcase has fluted frieze resting on carved, scrolled consoles above
flat pilasters. Paterae over brackets, dentils and modillions to cornice.
Door has cornice head and decorative fanlight with fan patterned in spandrels.
