House. Mid-late C17, altered late C19. Red brick with stone
dressings. Plain tile roof with parapeted gable ends. 2 storeys
and attics. 3 windows. The right half of the house has original
walling and some old features; left half is a duplicate ofthe
right. Outer windows are 2-storey canted bays. Moulded stone
mullions and transoms. Square leaded casements. Central door
with small stair window above. Central stack removed. Moulded
stone floor band and cornice. Long and short quoins to ends and
canted bays. Gable end with mullioned attics and internal late
C19 stacks. Interior has exposed floor beam to right ground
floor. The house was drawn by Buckler in 1839 showing the right
side as it is now (RCHM Typescript).
