Entrance Gates and Piers about 50 metres north west of Hill House

Entrance gates and piers to Hill House (q.v.). 1907 by Edgar Wood and J.H. Sellers. Brick piers with stone bases and caps, rebated corners with hollow moulded angles. 'Dalny Veed', original name of house, below stone coping. Quadrant stone coped brick walls extend forward to lower outer piers, similarly moulded. Two timber gates, panelled with ironwork in open upper panels, scrolled ironwork above to a central spear head.
