C15 hall house, altered front. Red brick plinth, colour washed brick and plaster,
old tiled roof with cornice. 2 storeys, 1st floor oversailing. 3 1st floor sash
windows, C19 shop front with cornice on consoles. Timber framework has close
studding, pair of arched braces with diagonal struts. C15 triple light window
with wooden mullion mouldings, cusped ogee arches. Interior of 1st floor shows
remains of hall. Once the Privy Kitchen of King James I's Palace.
Nos 5 to 13 (odd) form a group.
