Farmhouse; early C19; grey random rubble: thin stones, roughly
coursed, larger, squared red quoins and window voussoirs: tiled
roof. 3-window wide, 2-room deep (rear rooms in lean-to at
front), 3-storey. Symmetrical facade. Gabled timber-framed
porch, sides 3 vertical lights, each with semi-circular head to
glass: front 4-panel door, top 2 glazed as sides, with one glazed
panel each side of door. Above door steep segmental arch, with
large trefoil filling gable. Shaped bargeboards, crested ridge
tiles, club tiles to roof. Either side a 3-light mullion and
transom window, timber frame, iron opening casement. Top to
window segmental, with stone voussoirs and stepped keystone to
arch. Red stone continues as a plain string course between
windows, and for a short distance each side towards gable. First
floor, outer windows as below, with 2-light similar in the centre:
plain red string course as below linking 3 windows. Second floor
2-light casement windows, over outer windows below only: flat tops
to glazing, cambered brick-on-edge arches. A square, plain grey
stone in centre, possibly intended as datestone. Hooks, double
catches and spur survive on metal opening lights. Brick gable
chimneys on ridge, within envelope of building.
