SO 71 SW WESTBURY-ON-SEVERN WEST BURY VILLAGE

II

Detached house; early C19; may be front to an earlier building;
ashlar plinth, red-brown brick, Flemish bond, tiled roof. 3-
window wide, 2-room deep, back half catslide to front: 2 storeys,
with attics to front. Front door central, up 2 stone steps: door
late C20 half-glazed: moulded wooden surround, with thin
pilasters, open steep segmental porch on brackets, lead roof.
Windows to left and right 4-pane wide sashes, stone sills and
lintels with splayed ends. First floor similar, but centre window
3-pane wide. Dentil eaves, but with 2 offsets below, and brick-
on-edge dentils. Brick gable chimneys within envelope: gables
rendered behind 340mm brick returns at front. 2-light casement
to attic left gable, with leaded lights and iron opening light.
Interior not inspected.
